The BC Academic Health Science Network (BC AHSN) is pleased to announce that the BC Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (BCCRIN) will be transitioned into BC AHSN under a new name: Clinical Trials BC. The name reflects a focus on advancing BC as a world leader in clinical trials, a direction endorsed by key stakeholders and the BC AHSN Board.

A project steering committee has been struck to oversee the transition and ongoing clinical research support activities. The Clinical Trials BC transition project will be implemented by a working group with input from an advisory committee (membership to be confirmed).

As the project progresses, further decisions will be made regarding the leadership, resources and organizational structures that are needed within the BC AHSN organization to support this key provincial building block.

For more information, visit the Clinical Trials BC page of the BC AHSN website and watch for ongoing email updates through the summer and fall. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Deirdre Rogers, Project Manager/Interim Operations Lead (drogers@bcahsn.ca).
