Many clinical trial participants are left with unanswered questions both during and at the end of the research study.  A provincial working group has created a toolkit to communicate their best practice recommendations for improving the experiences of participants taking part in clinical trials and increase sharing of study results with study participants.

Objectives:

• Learn how lack of receipt of results is a common experience of clinical trial participants
• Hear about the Best Practice Recommendations and how they were developed
• See the materials and resources available in the toolkit and how to access them

About the Presenters:

Anita David Since 2017, Anita has worked as a Community Based Research Associate and Patient Partner on over 25 projects and advisory committees with community organizations, universities and health authorities in British Columbia. She hopes that the work of the Communication of Study Results Working Group will give clinical research teams the information and tools to meaningfully engage with participants throughout their research projects.		Marc Saunders Marc holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria and a Masters of Biomedical Technology from the University of Calgary. His focus as Project Manager is to manage the implementation of British Columbia’s Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS). He is responsible for driving alignment around new processes and best practices for clinical trials, and will help support sites with their implementations.
